THE BANKSIA PROJECT

The Banksia Project is a men’s mental wellness initiative combining awareness building with constructive action. They have two main channels. The Growth Rooms and The Garden Rooms. The Growth Rooms are male only community support groups lead by trained facilitators discussing a range of topics from stress management, mental illness to wellness practices. The website need to allow visitors to find a Growth Room near their location and register to attend by initially getting in contact with the group facilitator. The Garden Rooms are Free collaborative information evenings incorporating Q&A discussions with expert panelists and educators from Mental Health Institutions, Charities and other targeted providers. For these Garden Rooms, the website needed to also display upcoming garden room events and allow visitors to RSVP.
